The world most known Venice Festival takes place every year at the end of February, beginning of March, 12 days before Shrove Tuesday. It is on the grand gallery of the gothic style Doges Palace, where the people gather wearing symbolic masks.
Venice is a unique and fascinating town, where I had the opportunity to go through many, many years ago. Since then , I have continued my visit by watching documentaries and looking at photos, especially from the festival. The glittering and colourful costumes and masks of gold, silver, and inlaid with precious stones, inspired me and my brushes started to work, helping me to transfer onto canvas all the lights of this unique event.
